I designed the Forager Vest in honor of those who harvest by hand – be it wild edibles, garden vegetables, eggs, or a child’s treasures from nature. The pockets are deep, and the style is simple. Wear the Forager over a dress, jeans, leggings, or a skirt for an instant utilitarian boost to any outfit. Bonus – you can fit knitting or handwork projects in the pockets without having to carry around a project bag!

One size for all. The Forager is designed with large armholes, with ample room for all. Instructions are provided for easily widening the back if you prefer more coverage.

Fabric Requirements

The Forager Vest is designed for mid-weight linen (~4-6 oz/yd (~160-200 gsm)), and can also be made from mid-weight woven fabrics such as lightweight twill or denim, or light canvas for a utilitarian look. Softer bottom-weight options like Essex linen, silk noil, Mora slub linen, and Brussels washer linen will create a softer look. Your fabric will need enough body and stability to support the pockets in all of their sizeable glory.

54” (137 cm) wide fabric: 2 yds (1.8 m)
