Bring beauty to your loungewear drawer with the Nocturne – a moonlighting top and pants set that takes you from daytime adventures to nighttime cozy, depending on your fabric choice. With a touch of whimsy in its details, the Nocturne shines in both drapey fabrics that flow freely around your body, or in sturdier fabrics such as cotton flannel, yarn-dyed cotton, and linen.
The Top features gathers, a V-notch at the neckline, and a slight high-low hem to add a touch of whimsy. Choose between three sleeve lengths, and lengthen it into a darling tunic or nightgown.
For the Pants, you have two waistband choices: View A has a high rise with a paper bag detail at the waistline. View B has a lower rise that sits below the natural waist and has a standard waistband. Both Views feature elastic in a casing at the waist, straight legs that can be pegged and rolled up and optional side seam pockets.
All-cotton or all-polyester thread that color-coordinates with your fabric
For the Nocturne Top
For beginners, we recommend light to medium weight wovens (3-5 oz/yd² or 4-6 oz/yd² (100-200 gsm)), with a bit of drape, such as soft cottons, linens, hemp, and flannel. Intermediate and advanced sewists might choose Tencel, rayon, or for a truly luxurious piece, silk charmeuse.
